Who we are
We are the Josephs! As Southern Delaware natives, we met in high school but only started dating after Rachel returned from college out of state. We got married, welcomed two wonderful boys, and now we've decided to share our herd of goats, known for their effectiveness as furry brush-busters, with the rest of Sussex County and potentially beyond! Rachel has been an animal lover and farm girl since birth. Raised in a pet shop and on a farm, she has a heart for caring for animals of all shapes and sizes. Her favorite activities include raising our sons, riding her horse, and preserving foods. While she is a licensed clinical social worker, she finds that animals help to bring a sense of peace and comfort on the rough days. She loves Jesus and America too.
Alex is a country boy through and through, equipped to fix just about anything and solve any problem. He has lived in Sussex County his entire life, except for completing Auctioneering school in North Carolina. Alex enjoys playing Pickleball, chess, and tackling challenging projects that stimulate his brain. He has a background in manufacturing and serves as a Project Manager when he's not helping with Goat Getters projects!
Carter is our oldest son, homeschooled and passionate about playing flag football, basketball, and of course, the popular computer games of this era. He is our history buff and loves engaging in conversations with everyone. He is eager to learn, so please share your knowledge and interests with him—he'll appreciate it! Carter adores the goats and can't wait to work on more Goat Getters projects with us!
Sawyer is our youngest son. We often say, 'The oldest child will give you the confidence to be a good parent, and the youngest will humble you.' This wild one is full of spirit and grit, with sarcasm and dry humor that will catch you off guard—just like his fiery red hair. He loves the goats and would probably live in the pen with them if we'd let him!
